Pantai Hospital Ampang’s Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day and well-equipped to handle any injury or medical emergency, round-the-clock every day. At the ED, the dedicated team of doctors and nurses are specially trained for emergency situations. They will evaluate the situation immediately using the triage method. The most severe cases with life-threatening conditions will be our topmost priority.

In addition to having a team of emergency specialists accessing and managing your case, a multidisciplinary team of specialists and surgeons are also on call to attend to complex medical conditions.


 When Should You Go To The Emergency Department To Get Treatment?
Triage & Waiting Time

The triage system is used to sort patients into categories so those with urgent medical needs get help first. The assessment is based on how sick a patient is upon arrival at the emergency.

An overview of three category triage acuity systems;

Red Zone (Emergency)

  • CRITICAL
  • Seen immediately

  • Require immediate life-saving intervention

Yellow Zone (Urgent)

  • HIGH RISK
  • Seen within 15 minutes

  • Semi-Critical with confused, disoriented, severe pain, unable to walk but airway secure and hemodynamically stable on trolley

Green Zone (Non Urgent)

  • NON CRITICAL
  • Seen within 30 minutes

  • Non-Critical with airway secure, ambulating, hemodynamically stable
